As on February 2018\, it is estimated that over 58% of rural Indians depend on agriculture for their livelihood and this sector contributes around 17-18% to the country’s GDP. The Indian food industry is also poised for huge growth which employs more than 50% of the workforce in India. The contribution is going to increase in world food trade every year due to its immense potential for value addition\, particularly within the food processing industry. The industry and agriculture have linkages which need to be ‘S \n  \nreinforced for having an integrated economy with special farmer-industry partnership. Thus it is required to educate and equip farmers with latest technologies and farm practices.
