SUMMARY:CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals Conference 2024
DESCRIPTION:Navigating a Renewable Carbon Future with the Program of the CO₂-Based Fuels and Chemicals Conference 2024\n\n\n++ Final program ++ 90 participants from 17 countries already registered ++ Submit your poster now! Deadline for submission: 1 March 2024 ++  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWith a current capacity of over 1.3 million tonnes for CO2-based products and steadily growing demand\, smart Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) technologies are helping to establish CO2 as a renewable carbon feedstock. Innovative technologies and materials are crucial to meet the increasing demand for fossil-free carbon\, e.g. derived from CO2 or biomass\, especially in the chemical and fuel sector. Having established itself as a cornerstone in the evolution of this dynamic field\, the CO2-Based Fuels and Chemicals Conference has become a meeting ground\, fostering connections and showcasing the latest advancements in CO2 capture and utilisation.\nFor the 12th time the conference program presents a comprehensive overview of the status quo\, delving into pivotal topics such as CCU\, carbon capture technologies\, biogenic CO2 sources and green hydrogen production\, Power-to-X for fuels\, CO2-based chemicals\, materials\, polymers\, mineralisation\, advanced technologies\, advanced research for CCU\, and the fascinating realm of artificial photosynthesis.\nA dedicated session on innovation\, strategy and policy will delve into the crucial discussion of framework conditions necessary to stimulate incentives and investments within this rapidly expanding sector\, offering valuable insights and future perspectives.

SUMMARY:Improving textile value chain efficiency
DESCRIPTION:Improving textile value chain efficiency: A sustainable approach to colour communication for brands\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSign up for this free webinar here! \nColour specification is a time-consuming and expensive challenge for apparel\, footwear\, and soft good brands. To overcome colour specification issues\, some brands have implemented “solutions in isolation\,” such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that introduce digital colour communication (QTX files)\, specify the use of a specific type of spectrophotometer\, and provide measurement guidelines for tolerances and illuminants. Although this is a step forward\, it is not a holistic solution.\nIn this webinar\, we will introduce ways to optimise your current textile workflow with a meaningful colour specification process. This enhanced approach eliminates the subjectivity that leads to waste and rework to increase brand colour compliance\, control\, and consistency\, improve time to market by 75%\, and reduce the overall carbon footprint of the textile industry. \nIf you would like to find out when the webinar will take place in your time zone\, click here. \nRegister for free via the link below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRSVP HERE

SUMMARY:Period Products—The New\, the Old\, and the Old-New
DESCRIPTION:This webinar will be a deep dive into Period Products\, looking at the technologies as well as the change in attitudes that have driven the industry\, to enable us develop better products for the future. \n  \nLooking at this fascinating category from the eyes of Product Development\, what can the past teach us about the future? Traditionally\, it was challenging to innovate in a ‘silent’ category\, when no one wanted to talk about period products. \n  \nFor the future\, how can the latest fibers\, formats and consumer trends all fit together to build a Product Roadmap for your brand? \n  \nWhich products being used today are an echo from previous generations? …what we refer to as the “Old-New.” \n  \nHave we done enough to break down the taboos around Periods\, and what more can we do? \n  \nInnovating in this changing category \nAre companies doing enough to break the Historical Taboos around Periods? \nUsing past information to drive new Period Product launches for the future

SUMMARY:Managing PFAS Solutions in the Textile Industry
DESCRIPTION:PFAS – or per-and polyfluoroalkyl chemistries – have long been considered a “miracle” in the textile industry\, capable of making almost any fiber substrate water\, soil and oil repellent. But fluorine-based textile chemistries have come under great scrutiny in recent years\, and are not well understood by a global textile industry suddenly challenged with massive change. \nScientists have begun tying PFAS to a wide variety of serious health issues\, and consumer groups have begun calling for change. That has led to a growing list of PFAS bans in the United States and Europe. As the industry adapts to these changes\, you need to make sure you’re covered by your liability insurance. \nDid you know that old liability insurance policies were very different than today’s coverage? And that there is often limited or no pollution exclusion with no time limit on when a claim can be filed? So long as the contamination stems from operations during the policy period\, such as manufacturing and wastewater treatment\, the claim can be made decades later. Companies often believe they have discarded their historic liability insurance\, but old insurance programs usually can be reconstructed from a variety of indirect and secondary sources. \nJoin Dr. John Malanchuk and Laurence Eisenstein Esq.\, partners at Eisenstein Malanchuk LLP\, Washington\, D.C.\, as they discuss liability insurance and take your questions. They will guide you through the process of finding your insurance to make sure you’re prepared. \n  \nKey takeaways: \nFind your insurance now\, before you need it \nUse the insurance to pay for attorneys’ fees and environmental investigations \nAlso use the insurance to pay for investigation and remediation costs

SUMMARY:Making Commercial Packaging Sustainably Viable
DESCRIPTION:Sustainable packaging has become a baseline expectation and is fast becoming a competitive differentiator. Based on Future Market Insights (FMI) survey\, the cost is one of the main hurdles preventing especially smaller brands from investing in sustainable packaging right away (sustainable packaging materials could cost 1.4 times more than traditional). Also\, packaging suppliers/converters are seeing eroding margins owing to high material prices. How to make 100% sustainable also commercially viable is the question of the hour. \nOn 28th March packaging experts from Berry Global\, Notpla and FMI come together to unravel answers to some of the most pressing questions regarding this
