Universal MEP Projects & Engineering Services Limited (UMPESL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Voltas Limited and part of the Tata Group, has entered into a strategic agency agreement with the Danitech Group to accelerate the adoption of advanced textile processing technologies in India.
Danitech Group, represented in this partnership by Danitech Engineering & Solutions Srl and its subsidiary Suzhou Danitech Intelligent Technology, is globally recognised for its expertise in textile dyeing, finishing and automation solutions.
Under the agreement, UMPESL will act as Danitech’s exclusive partner in India for the promotion, sales, technical consultancy and after-sales support of its products and integrated solutions. The collaboration will be executed in close coordination with Danitech’s global headquarters to ensure Indian textile manufacturers gain access to advanced global technologies backed by reliable local service support.
The partnership combines Danitech’s engineering and automation capabilities with UMPESL’s long-standing presence in India’s textile machinery and engineering market. With more than seven decades of experience, UMPESL has built a strong reputation in providing end-to-end textile solutions spanning spinning, post-spinning and garmenting, supported by engineering expertise and a nationwide customer service network.
Industry stakeholders see the alliance as a significant step towards modernising India’s textile processing ecosystem. By bringing advanced dyeing, finishing and smart automation systems to the domestic market, the partnership is expected to help textile manufacturers improve productivity, reduce energy consumption, enhance quality consistency and support sustainability goals.
The agreement was formally signed by Mr Danilo Cagnazzi, Chairman of Danitech, and Mr Pradip Roy, Head – Textile Division, UMPESL, in the presence of Mr B. Saikumar, Head – Post Spinning, UMPESL, and Ms Jie Yin, CEO, Danitech.
