Arvind Limited Launches UAE Unit, Opens London Design Hub

Arvind Limited has announced a major step in its international growth strategy with the launch of Arvind Atelier in the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone and the opening of a dedicated design hub in London.

The move is aimed at enhancing the company’s service capabilities for global fashion brands by bringing design, sourcing and manufacturing closer to key markets across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and the Americas.

The newly launched UAE subsidiary, based in Sharjah’s SAIF Zone, will serve as a strategic sourcing and operations center, while the London Design Hub will focus on customer engagement, trend forecasting and product development. Together, these two facilities establish a globally connected model that combines regional design insights with integrated sourcing and manufacturing execution.

According to Punit Lalbhai, the expansion reflects an important milestone in the company’s international growth journey. He noted that placing design, sourcing and execution closer to customers will help Arvind deliver faster, more flexible and responsible manufacturing solutions to global apparel brands.

To lead this new international business platform, Arvind has appointed Rakesh Chadha as Managing Director of Arvind Atelier. With over three decades of experience in global apparel sourcing, supply chain management and international business development, Chadha will oversee customer engagement, regional expansion and strategic partnerships across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

The company said the London hub will act as a creative and innovation center, connecting Arvind’s manufacturing expertise with Europe’s evolving fashion ecosystem. The setup is designed to help brands respond faster to market trends through streamlined collaboration on design, development and production.

Arvind Atelier will function as an integrated sourcing platform covering multiple categories including denim, casual wear, shirts, knits, sweaters, essentials and activewear. This allows global brands to consolidate sourcing needs across categories under a single strategic partner.

The expansion builds on Arvind’s substantial manufacturing scale. In FY25, the company’s garmenting division produced approximately 37 million pieces, while woven fabric production reached around 128 million metres. Arvind also remains one of the world’s leading denim manufacturers, with an annual denim fabric capacity exceeding 110 million metres.

The timing of this international expansion aligns with rising opportunities in Europe and the MENA region. Europe imported apparel worth approximately €180.5 billion in 2024, while the Middle East and Africa fashion apparel market is estimated at USD 172 billion in 2025. Arvind’s latest move positions the company to capitalize on this growing demand while strengthening India’s role as a global textile sourcing destination.

The launch of the London hub also complements the expected implementation of the UK–India Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, which is anticipated to create new trade opportunities for India’s textile and apparel sector.

With nearly a century of textile innovation and manufacturing excellence, Arvind continues to reinforce its position as a global fibre-to-fashion powerhouse, expanding its reach through innovation, sustainability and customer-centric global operations
