Bharat Tex 2026 has secured textile sector investment commitments worth approximately ₹14,300 crore while generating business enquiries valued at nearly US$2.8 billion, further strengthening India’s position as a global textile manufacturing and sourcing hub.
According to the Ministry of Textiles, the event covered more than 16 lakh square feet and featured 1,647 exhibitors, attracting nearly 95,000 business visitors, including over 20,000 repeat visits. The exhibition also welcomed 11,315 buyers, including 6,090 international buyers, along with 3,461 delegates and participants from 138 countries.
During the first three days, the exhibition facilitated more than 28,500 business-to-business (B2B) meetings, over 100 business-to-government (B2G) and government-to-government (G2G) interactions, alongside multiple strategic investment discussions.
More than 30 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed by participating states. Karnataka announced investment commitments worth ₹2,821 crore, Bihar ₹1,476 crore, Maharashtra ₹1,095 crore, and Andhra Pradesh ₹4,100 crore. Textile recycling company RE&UP also announced an investment of ₹4,800 crore in India.
Several states, including Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, showcased their textile ecosystems through dedicated pavilions highlighting investment opportunities, manufacturing capabilities, and policy initiatives.
The event also recorded significant international participation, with ministerial delegations from New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Russia, Cambodia, and Portugal, alongside representatives from the European Union. Business delegations from over 30 countries, including the United States, Japan, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, South Korea, Australia, and the UAE, attended the exhibition.
A key development during the event was the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) between the Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF) and Première Vision Paris, aimed at strengthening India-European Union collaboration in textile sourcing, sustainability, design, and market access.
The exhibition also hosted the Sanrachna Hackathon, where students and innovators presented solutions in technical textiles, including protective garments, advanced healthcare applications, and climate-resilient materials.
Supporting inclusive industry development, more than 250 entrepreneurs and weavers from Aspirational Districts participated in special exposure visits, providing opportunities to engage with buyers, exhibitors, and industry experts.
The outcomes of Bharat Tex 2026 highlight continued momentum in investment, international collaboration, innovation, and business engagement across India’s textile value chain.
