Intex Sri Lanka 2026, South Asia’s premier international textile sourcing platform, alongside InMac Sri Lanka 2026, the strategic international garment machinery and smart manufacturing exhibition, concluded successfully at BMICH, Colombo.
The three-day exhibition recorded a stronger visitor response and increased footfall compared with the previous edition. The event brought together 276 exhibitors across 440 booths from more than 14 countries and regions, attracting 7,889 trade visitors from over 18 countries and regions.
Intex-InMac Sri Lanka 2026 Opens with Strong Industry Participation
The opening ceremony was inaugurated by Chief Guest Hon. Sunil Handunnetti, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Government of Sri Lanka.

The opening was followed by a VIP tour of both Intex and InMac, providing delegates with an overview of the technologies, products and sourcing solutions showcased at the exhibitions.
India Showcases Strong Textile Presence
The Incredible Textiles of India Pavilion was inaugurated by H.E. Santosh Jha, High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, in the presence of representatives from Indian textile export councils TEXPROCIL, MATEXIL, PDEXCIL and FIEO, along with participating Indian textile companies.
The pavilion highlighted India’s strong presence in the regional textile and apparel supply chain and provided a platform for Indian companies to connect with Sri Lankan manufacturers, exporters and sourcing professionals.
Global Suppliers Connect with Sri Lankan Industry
Intex-InMac Sri Lanka 2026 created a vibrant international marketplace, bringing together suppliers from India, China, Sri Lanka, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Australia, Germany, Korea, the USA, Thailand and other key markets.
The exhibitions connected these international suppliers with garment manufacturers, exporters, sourcing professionals, technical and engineering teams, buyers and industry stakeholders from Sri Lanka and other markets.
The broad participation highlighted the growing importance of Sri Lanka as a sourcing and manufacturing destination while providing international companies with opportunities to develop new business relationships within the South Asian textile and apparel ecosystem.
India-Sri Lanka Textile Trade Forum Strengthens Bilateral Cooperation
A key highlight of the event was the India-Sri Lanka Textile Trade Forum 2026, jointly organised with the High Commission of India to Sri Lanka.
The forum brought together Indian and Sri Lankan manufacturers, suppliers, industry representatives and trade stakeholders for focused business discussions.
Participants explored opportunities for bilateral sourcing, stronger supplier-buyer relationships, new areas of cooperation and greater integration between the textile and apparel industries of both countries.
The forum further strengthened the platform for Indian and Sri Lankan businesses to identify commercial opportunities and build long-term industry partnerships.
