ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026 will take place from 20 to 24 November 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), bringing together textile machinery manufacturers and industry professionals. The exhibition will cover about 180,000 square metres across seven halls, representing a 10% expansion from the previous edition.
The textile machinery industry will convene in Shanghai for ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026, Asia’s leading business platform for textile machinery.
The 2026 edition will occupy seven halls at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), with a total gross exhibition area of approximately 180,000 square metres. This represents a 10% increase compared with the previous edition.
Emerging Technologies Take Centre Stage
The exhibition will introduce several emerging sectors in response to evolving industry requirements. These will include equipment for textile-reinforced composites, textile recycling technologies, digital platforms and production automation solutions.
A dedicated Research and Innovation sector will bring together leading Chinese universities to present advanced research developments and examples of industry-academia-research collaboration.
Featured developments will include embodied robots for textile applications, intelligent inspection technologies and artificial intelligence development platforms.
More Than 1,800 Companies Apply to Exhibit
More than 1,800 exhibiting companies have applied to participate, with almost 90% based in China.
Exhibits will be arranged according to production processes and will cover the complete textile and garment manufacturing value chain. Areas represented will include braiding, dyeing and finishing, embroidery, garment making, knitting, man-made fibres, nonwovens, printing, recycling, spinning, testing and packaging, weaving, among others.
Confirmed domestic and international exhibitors include Atexco, B.T.D., Barmag, Beijing Chonglee, BEST, CHTC, Cixing, Dornier, Epson, Fong’s, Hicorp, Hongyuan, Itema, Karl Mayer, Konica Minolta, LMW, Murata, Picanol, Rieter, Rifa, Santoni, Saurer, Shima Seiki, Staubli, Taitan, Texpro, TMT, Truetzschler, Vandewiele, Yingyang and Yoantion.
The participating companies will showcase developments in digitalisation, intelligent manufacturing and automation, with technologies designed to address sustainability, energy and resource efficiency, and smarter production.
International Visitor Promotion Continues
The 2024 edition recorded more than 90,000 visitors from 111 countries and regions, with almost 90% of visitors coming from China.
Visitor participation from South American markets, particularly Argentina, Brazil and Colombia, registered strong growth. Increased visitor numbers were also recorded from Algeria, Japan, Italy, Sri Lanka, Türkiye and the United Kingdom.
Between April and July 2026, the organiser conducted overseas promotional and outreach activities in India (Coimbatore, Ludhiana and Surat), Indonesia (Jakarta), Japan (Tokyo), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), and Türkiye (Bursa and Istanbul).
Additional promotional activities are scheduled in Bangladesh, Brazil, Egypt, Pakistan, South Africa and other countries and regions to extend the exhibition’s international outreach and encourage visitor participation.
Trade Visitor Pre-Registration Underway
Trade visitor pre-registration opened on 25 May and will remain available until 19 November 2026.
Visitors can pre-register through the official exhibition websites, ITMA ASIA and CITME. Registration is also available through the WeChat accounts of “International Textile Machinery Exhibition,” the China Textile Machinery Association and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Textile Industry Sub-Council.
Trade visitors who pre-register can receive a 40% discount on early-bird admission tickets.
Domestic and international trade associations, industry organisations and corporate visitor groups with six or more participants can also apply for preferential group admission packages.
