
Dubai, November 14, 2024: On November 12, 2024, a roadshow was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to effectively promote Bharat Tex 2025, a worldwide textile event. The event’s primary goal was to raise awareness of the abundance of options and reaffirm India’s standing as a major global textile powerhouse with enormous potential in innovation, technology, and sustainable practices. The roadshow emphasised the benefits of expanding India-UAE commerce under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which fortifies the standing and connections of the Indian textile industry in the GCC.
Bharat Tex 2025 is being organized by Textile Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) which includes Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) and supported by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The massive event is scheduled for February 14–17. 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi and from February 12 to 15, 2025 at India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida.
Industry professionals, producers, buyers, dealers, designers, and fans from all over the world come together on one platform for Bharat Tex 2025. This is the biggest and most important event for the textile industry, and it will showcase the whole value chain, including clothing, Fibres, Yarns, Wool, Threads, Fabrics, Carpets, Silk, Textile-based Handicrafts, Handloom, Synthetic, Rayon, and Cotton Textiles, Jute, Woollen Clothes, Technical Textiles & Machinery, and Home Furnishings and Floor Coverings.
Welcoming UAE industry associates, Mr. Santosh Katariya, President, CMAI, the organisers of the roadshow said “Bharat Tex is not just an event but a testament to India’s commitment to becoming a global textile powerhouse. Over 5000 exhibitors, 6000 foreign buyers, and more than 1,20,000 trade visitors are anticipated to attend the upcoming edition of the show, which will occupy 2,00,000 square meters. It is the largest textile show in the world, with over 120 exhibitors and customers anticipated. nations.
Mr. Akhilesh Kumar, DDG, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India during his keynote address highlighted “The expo is a unique platform to bring together leading players from the Indian and Global textiles sector, besides highlighting the numerous existing and emerging India offers prospects, strong infrastructure, alluring incentives, and other advantages to international buyers and investors. Additionally, it offers a special opportunity for international buyers and investors to investigate India’s advantages as a worldwide consumer and manufacturing market.
Smt. Swayamprava Pani, IES, Addl. Development Commissioner of Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, also gave a special speech in which she emphasised Bharat Tex as a distinctive forum that unites top figures from the Indian and international textile industries. in addition to stressing India’s many current and future prospects, strong infrastructure, alluring incentives, and other advantages for foreign consumers and investors.
While making a detailed presentation about the event, Mr. Rahul Mehta, Chief Mentor, CMAI asserted “The textiles and apparel industry in India is thriving across its entire value chain, from fibre to apparel. 150 people from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Egypt, Turkey, Ghana, Rwanda, Nigeria, Kenya, the United States, South Africa, and India attended the roadshow, which was sponsored by MATEXIL, WWEPC, and HEPC.
