The Technical & Innovative Textile Solution Center (TITSC) recently organized a one-day seminar on “Manufacturing of Wet Wipes: New Business Opportunities and Market Strategies” at Gokulam Park Hotel, Coimbatore. The event included an industry visit to Care Now (now Healthium) on March 1, 2025. The seminar attracted 20 participants from various industries.
The chief guest, Dr. S. Sabapathy, Director of Celligo Natural Fibre Pvt. Ltd., shared insights on sustainable plant-based super absorbent polymers (SAP) for hygienic products such as wet wipes, sanitary napkins, and baby diapers. The session featured discussions on the scope, challenges, innovations, raw materials, and financial aspects of wet wipe manufacturing.
Dr. S. Thiruppathi, CEO of TITSC, highlighted the growing demand for wet wipes, projecting a market value of USD 3,500 million by 2030 with a CAGR of 18% to 20%. Despite the presence of over 15 brands in India, the southern region has limited manufacturing facilities, indicating a significant opportunity for new entrepreneurs.
The program also included an informative industry visit to Care Now India Pvt. Ltd., where participants gained insights into the manufacturing process. TITSC, with its extensive experience in technical textiles, offers comprehensive consultancy services, including training, machinery support, product development, and financial guidance for wet wipe projects.
