
New Delhi, 18 February 2025 – The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) hosted the prestigious CITI Sustainability Awards 2024-25 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, celebrating outstanding contributions to sustainability in the textile industry. Shri Pabitra Margherita, Hon’ble Minister of State for Textiles, graced the event, delivering the inaugural address and presenting awards to industry leaders driving sustainable innovation.

In his speech, Shri Margherita highlighted the significance of sustainability in shaping the future of India’s textile sector, applauding CITI’s continuous efforts. He also participated in the ‘Earthloom – Threads of Heritage’ fashion showcase at Bharat Tex 2025, curated by renowned designer Daniel Syiem and presented by Aalekh Foundation in collaboration with CITI, spotlighting India’s rich heritage weaves and sustainable textiles.

The CITI Sustainability Awards 2024-25 honored organizations excelling in key sustainability areas, including water conservation, renewable energy, carbon emissions reduction, circular economy, sustainable retail practices, and heritage textile revival. Key winners included:

- Excellence in Carbon Emissions Reduction – Radnik Exports Global Private Limited
- Best Recyclers Award – Sitaram Spinners Private Limited
