Cutting-Edge Meditech Textile Unit Marks New Era of Industrial Development : CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced significant progress in establishing a cutting-edge Meditech textile production unit at the Acharpura Industrial Area in Bhopal, a project that he described as a major milestone in Madhya Pradesh’s industrial evolution.

The unit is being developed by TWE OBT Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between Germany’s TWE Group and India’s OBT Group, with a total investment of ₹160 crore. It will manufacture advanced components like ADL, top sheets, and back sheets used in hygiene products for women and children—items that have been predominantly imported until now.

Dr. Yadav emphasized that this project not only enhances Bhopal’s industrial profile but also solidifies Madhya Pradesh’s position on the national and global textile map. The initiative supports the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, aiming to make India self-reliant in medical and hygiene textile production.

Once operational, the plant will initially provide 200 direct jobs, with more to come as the unit expands. Special focus is also being given to green building norms, ensuring operations cause no air or water pollution, aligning with Swachh Bharat goals.

This facility, the first of its kind in India, will benefit from high-end German technology and aims to set a benchmark in technical and Meditech textile manufacturing. The state government is integrating the project with national schemes like PM MITRA, ODOP, and cluster development policies to boost regional growth.

CM Yadav reiterated the state’s commitment to attracting and implementing investments efficiently, stating that Madhya Pradesh is on its way to becoming a hub for high-value, innovation-led textile manufacturing.
