Fakir Kamruzzaman Nahid Joins BKMEA as Vice President
Fakir Kamruzzaman Nahid, Managing Director of Fakir Fashion Ltd., has been elected Vice President of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) for the 2025–2027 term. His election comes as part of a sweeping win by the Progressive Knit Alliance, led by Mohammad Hatem, which secured all 35 director positions in the latest polls.
A respected leader in the garment industry, Nahid has been instrumental in driving the success of Fakir Fashion Ltd., one of Bangladesh’s top knitwear exporters. His extensive experience in apparel manufacturing and global trade is expected to enhance BKMEA’s strategic direction.
In this new role, Nahid aims to accelerate industry modernization, champion sustainable practices, and expand Bangladesh’s knitwear footprint in global markets. Industry stakeholders have welcomed his appointment, expressing confidence in his leadership.
