Lenzing Group, together with four leading Italian manufacturers—Marchi & Fildi S.p.A, Maglificio Maggia, Destro Fabrics, and Madiva—has developed fabric innovations that combine TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers with mechanically recycled natural fibers like cotton, wool, and silk. This initiative tackles a key challenge in circular fashion: maintaining premium fabric quality despite the inherent irregularity of recycled materials.
Using advanced variants like TENCEL™ Lyocell – LF, LFH, and A100, these blends enhance softness, color vibrancy, and stability, making them ideal for knits, woven fabrics, and corespun constructions. Applications range from luxury knits with recycled silk and cashmere to functional apparel that integrates Cradle to Cradle-Certified™ elastane (ROICA™ V550).
The project reflects a scalable circular solution with commercial viability, featuring blends of 25% to 50% recycled content while maintaining performance and comfort. It also highlights Italian craftsmanship combined with sustainable fiber technology—presented as part of Lenzing’s showcase at Milano Unica, July 8–10, 2025 (Hall 3, Booth A16).
