Ahead of ITMA Asia + CITME 2025 in Singapore (Oct 28–31), Archroma, BW Converting, and Monforts will join a VDMA-hosted webtalk on Sept 18, focusing on sustainable textile finishing innovations. The event, titled “Driving Innovation in Sustainable Textile Finishing and Beyond,” will spotlight advancements trialed at the Monforts Advanced Technology Center in Germany.
At the heart of these trials is the integration of Baldwin’s TexCoat™ G4 spray unit with a Montex stenter, using Archroma’s water-based chemical finishes. This technology shift aims to replace traditional impregnation with spray-based applications, offering significant water and energy savings.
Michael Schuhmann of Archroma noted the transition allows manufacturers to enhance sustainability while achieving performance benefits, including a new patent-pending hydrophilic softener that boosts fabric longevity.
BW Converting reports successful commercial adoption in Pakistan’s bed sheet sector, where customers have doubled their stenter output and improved hand-feel. Independent testing by Fashion for Good validated these gains—showing energy, water, and capacity improvements.
The collaboration will extend to a new line concept integrating Monforts’ Thermex dyeing range, Baldwin’s TexChroma spray dyeing, and Archroma’s dyestuffs. According to Monforts technologist Saskia Kuhlen, the partnership reflects a shared mission to transform textile dyeing and finishing through scalable, resource-efficient innovation.
