Eurofins Assurance has achieved Certification Body accreditation from IOAS for its India office, enabling it to certify under the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and Textile Exchange programmes. These certifications help promote sustainable practices in the textile sector by ensuring traceability of organic and recycled materials, enhancing transparency, and supporting responsible sourcing.
Following a rigorous evaluation process, several Eurofins Assurance offices have been approved for these certification programmes, with the India office now officially accredited. The company can now offer a suite of internationally recognized certifications across Asia and Europe, including:
- Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)
- Textile Exchange
- Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
- Organic Content Standard (OCS)
- Recycled Claim Standard (RCS)
- Content Claim Standard (CCS)
According to Eurofins, “By fulfilling and adopting GOTS and Textile Exchange Certification, buyers and suppliers instantly gain much visibility into the raw materials’ origins and better manage risks around chain of custody in the supply chains.”
These certifications, backed by independent assessments, build consumer trust and brand recognition in a highly regulated and environmentally conscious market.
To streamline the certification process, Eurofins is developing a digital platform called Impact Trace, allowing businesses to manage audits, documents, reports, and transaction certificates in a centralized online environment.
