The Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) has announced its preparations for IndiaSkills 2025, the country’s premier skill competition organized by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). Registrations are now open nationwide, marking the start of India’s journey toward the WorldSkills Competition 2026 in Shanghai.
ESSCI will manage eight advanced skill categories critical to global competitiveness: Electronics, Electrical Installation, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Autonomous Mobile Robotics, Mechatronics, Intelligent Security Technology, Optoelectronic Technology, and Unmanned Aerial Systems.
“IndiaSkills is more than a competition—it is a national movement to identify and nurture talent that can transform India’s technological future,” said Saleem Ahmed, Officiating Head, ESSCI. He added that ESSCI is committed to providing world-class training, industry mentorship, and global exposure to help India excel on the international stage.
To prepare participants, ESSCI has designed bootcamps, workshops, and mentorship programs, blending advanced labs, global-standard tools, and soft skill development. The initiative aims not just at winning medals but also at building a robust workforce for India’s electronics and technology sectors.
Registrations are open on the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) portal until 30 September 2025. Eligible youth from all 36 States and Union Territories can apply across 63 skill categories.
