ASPA Elects New Governing Body for 2025–2027

The Authentication Solution Providers’ Association (ASPA), a non-profit industry body representing the authentication and traceability solutions sector since 1998, has announced the election of its new Governing Body for the 2025–2027 term. The elections took place during ASPA’s Annual General Meeting on 11th September 2025 in New Delhi.

The newly elected leadership team includes:

  • President: Mr. Ankit Gupta, Joint Managing Director, Holostik India Limited
  • Vice President: Mr. Nakul Pasricha, MD & CEO, PharmaSecure
  • General Secretary: Mr. Sanjay Kumbhat, Director, Kumbhat Holographics
  • Treasurer: Mr. Saurabh Agarwal, Vice President & General Manager, Avery Dennison South Asia
  • Ex-Officio (Past President): Mr. Manoj Kochar, Director, Holoflex Limited
  • Governing Body Member: Mr. Smitesh Surana, Director, Everest Holovisions Limited
  • Co-opted Governing Body Member: Mr. Ranesh Bajaj, Director, VINSAK

The outgoing Governing Body (2023–2025) significantly strengthened ASPA’s role as a trusted voice against counterfeiting, smuggling, and illicit trade. Through research reports, collaborations with global stakeholders, policy advocacy, and capacity-building initiatives, ASPA has supported authentication and traceability adoption across industries such as pharmaceuticals, FMCG, food & beverages, agrochemicals, automotive, and consumer durables.

With the new Governing Body in place, ASPA aims to intensify efforts across four key areas:

  1. Advocacy and policy engagement – driving anti-counterfeiting policies and traceability frameworks through closer collaboration with regulators.
  2. Awareness and knowledge sharing – publishing research, organizing seminars, and campaigns for brands, consumers, and policymakers.
  3. Innovation and best practices – encouraging adoption of advanced authentication technologies aligned with global standards.
  4. Industry collaboration and networking – fostering global partnerships for a united stand against illicit trade.

Addressing members, newly elected President Mr. Ankit Gupta said:
“It is an absolute honor to be elected as the President of ASPA and to have the opportunity to lead our industry association alongside such an accomplished Governing Body. Over the next two years, we are committed to making this journey memorable—marked by learning, growth, collaboration, and strong advocacy for our collective cause. I deeply acknowledge and thank our industry seniors, including Mr. Manoj Kochar, Mr. Luv Shriram, Mr. Nakul Pasricha, and many others who have steered ASPA’s path over the last 25 years. On a personal note, this moment is especially meaningful as I follow in the footsteps of my late father, Shri U.K. Gupta, who once held this very position. I am humbled to carry forward his legacy, and I am sure he would be proud to see life come full circle. I also extend my gratitude to my colleagues at Holostik for their constant support. Together with our members, we will strive to make the world a safer and counterfeit-free place.”

With its renewed leadership, ASPA is well-positioned to continue championing authentication and traceability solutions that safeguard brands, protect consumers, and strengthen India’s fight against counterfeiting and illicit trade.
