Global Gathering for Innovation and Sustainability
Shanghai, 14 October 2025: Taking place from 11–13 March 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, Shanghai, Yarn Expo Spring 2026 is set to expand on the success of its 2025 edition. The previous event welcomed nearly 24,000 visitors from 123 countries and regions and hosted over 560 exhibitors.
Regenerated fibres and yarns generated the most attention, with 57% of visitors sourcing in that category. Building on this momentum, the upcoming edition will further promote sustainable growth and innovation across the yarn and fibre industries.
A Stronger Platform for Circular Innovation
Ms. Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, highlighted the event’s growing impact:
“The success of Yarn Expo 2025 proves the industry’s deep commitment to sustainable innovation. As we prepare for the 2026 edition, we’re witnessing a stronger convergence of market demand, technological progress, and environmental responsibility. Yarn Expo’s position as Asia’s leading yarn and fibre platform has never been stronger.”
The global sustainable yarn market is forecast to grow from USD 5.2 billion in 2026 to USD 10.1 billion by 2033, reflecting a CAGR of 7.6%. This surge is driven by eco-conscious consumers, tighter environmental regulations, and advances in green fibre technology.
Natural fibres such as cotton, hemp, linen, and bamboo remain dominant, underscoring the shift toward renewable and biodegradable materials. With Yarn Expo running concurrently with Intertextile Apparel and other key shows, it offers a vital networking hub for sustainable textile professionals worldwide.
Industry Voices: Sustainability in Action
Mr. S. M. Ameer, Director of Din Industries, Pakistan, shared his insights from the 2025 event:
“We manufacture a wide range of yarns — from cotton blends to fancy knitting and weaving yarns. Sustainability is at our core, as we work with natural, regenerated, and recycled fibres. At Yarn Expo, we met buyers from France, Indonesia, and Türkiye, far exceeding our expectations.”
Such testimonials highlight Yarn Expo’s influence as a business accelerator and global sustainability platform.
