Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, a subsidiary of Cosmo First Limited, has announced the launch of an expanded range of high-performance masterbatches as part of its Specialty Chemicals portfolio.
The newly introduced range includes CosmoWhite, a portfolio of white masterbatches developed for polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) applications. Formulated with high concentrations of Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂), CosmoWhite is designed to deliver opacity, brightness, UV protection, and thermal stability. The products are intended for use in applications such as BOPP films, blown films, extrusion coating, injection moulding, non-wovens, raffia, and pail containers.
In addition, the company has introduced CosmoAdd, a complementary portfolio of additive masterbatches aimed at enhancing processing efficiency, durability, and functionality in end-use applications. CosmoAdd is tailored for flexible packaging segments, including BOPP, CPP, and blown film applications.
The CosmoAdd range includes cavitating agents (inorganic and organic), antiblock additives (inorganic and organic), antistatic and slip additives, polymer processing aids (including PFAS-free variants), antioxidants, clarifiers, matt compounds, and solutions for synthetic paper. The portfolio is positioned to address various processing and performance requirements in modern packaging applications.
According to the company, the launch aligns with Cosmo First Limited’s broader strategy to expand its Specialty Chemicals vertical, which was initiated in FY21. The division operates with in-house research and development capabilities and continues to expand its presence in external markets.
With the expanded portfolio, Cosmo Speciality Chemicals aims to strengthen its position in innovation-driven masterbatch solutions for the polymer and packaging industries.
