Crafted using R|Elan™’s cutting-edge fibre and fabric innovations, the collection showcased how responsible material choices can translate into distinctive aesthetics. Each piece reflected a balance of comfort, durability, sustainability, and refined design, reinforcing the role of innovation in shaping modern fashion.
Deeply inspired by personal memories and nature, the collection draws from Payal Pratap’s childhood experiences surrounded by lush gardens and seasonal transformations. Botanical elements—leaves, foliage, and natural textures—form the core visual narrative, expressed through prints, surface detailing, and textural explorations on denim silhouettes.
The eponymous label of designer Payal Pratap Singh has consistently explored the intersection of nature, craftsmanship, and storytelling. In this collection, those influences are revisited through a nostalgic lens, where impressions of flora and changing seasons are transformed into wearable art.
Sharing her inspiration, Payal Pratap reflected on her upbringing amidst her mother’s gardens, describing those memories as enduring fragments of the past. She explained that the collection captures the quiet beauty of botanicals, with prints derived from real leaves and foliage. These natural elements were translated into artworks using ferns and palms, later applied to denim through digital and laser printing techniques.

Denim serves as the foundation of the collection, reimagined as a dynamic fabric that evolves over time. Positioned as a “living canvas,” it captures the imprint of nature while reflecting the passage of time through its texture and wear.
The collection incorporates botanical motifs such as leaves, stems, and floral patterns pressed into indigo surfaces, evoking delicate imprints of nature. Cyanotype-inspired prints lend a scientific, archival quality, while tonal embroidery, patchwork, and washed finishes create layered textures reminiscent of natural landscapes shaped by time and elements.
Silhouettes are relaxed and oversized, offering a sense of ease and intimacy. The range includes jackets, skirts, gilets, and dresses, all enhanced with bold botanical prints and tactile detailing. Techniques such as appliqué pleats, quilting, and distressed finishes add depth, giving each garment a lived-in, evolving character.
Nature’s influence is evident throughout, with designs appearing almost fossilised into the fabric. As the garments age, they continue to evolve—mirroring the concept of memory itself, where moments shift, fade, and transform over time.
Complementing the collection’s sustainable ethos, the runway design stood out as a key highlight. Constructed using recycled PET bottles and repurposed denim waste, the set featured a striking canopy made entirely from reused textiles. This immersive environment enhanced the storytelling, as models brought the collection to life beneath it.
