ACG Kinna Expands Facility After Record 2025 Growth

ACG Kinna, a member of the Swedish textile machinery association TMAS, has announced a significant expansion of its headquarters in Skene, Sweden, with the addition of a new 1,000-square-metre facility. The move comes in response to rising demand for its comprehensive textile automation and finished product solutions.

According to Sales and Marketing Manager Tomas Aspenskog, the company considered relocating after several recent acquisitions but ultimately chose to expand its existing site. The new extension, directly connected to the current headquarters, allows for the consolidation of staff and provides additional specialised assembly space. This development is expected to streamline logistics, enhance operational efficiency, and improve coordination with suppliers and customers.

Rising demand for automation

ACG Kinna reported a record performance in 2025, driven by growing interest in automation among manufacturers of home furnishing products such as pillows and duvets. The company has established itself as a leader in delivering fully automated production lines under its “Complete Process – One Supplier” approach. These systems integrate multiple stages of production, including fibre handling, filling, sewing, digital quality inspection, and packaging, using advanced robotics.

In addition to home textile applications, ACG Kinna is expanding its presence in the finished filter bag segment. The company plans to showcase its latest innovations in this area at Filtech 2026, scheduled to take place in Cologne, Germany, from June 30 to July 2.

Aspenskog highlighted that the company’s modular solutions allow manufacturers to adapt quickly to changing production requirements and scale operations over time. He also noted the benefits of working with a single supplier, which simplifies project management, logistics, and installation processes. Despite global uncertainties, demand for ACG Kinna’s solutions remains strong, particularly across Europe and North America.

Growth through strategic acquisitions

Since becoming part of the diversified, family-owned ACG Group in 2013, ACG Kinna has expanded its capabilities through a series of strategic acquisitions. Five years ago, it acquired Finland-based Nowo Machinery, known for its fibre processing technologies, including advanced pillow filling systems and ball fibre machines.

More recently, the company strengthened its portfolio with the addition of Swedish firms EyeTech, which specialises in machine vision systems for automation, and Styrteknik Europe, a manufacturer of industrial sewing machines for home furnishing applications. These acquisitions have broadened ACG Kinna’s expertise across automation, quality control, and production technologies.

Automation driving industry transformation

Therese Premler-Andersson, Secretary General of TMAS, emphasised that automation is becoming essential in modern textile manufacturing. Factors such as the need for product traceability, increased flexibility, localised production, evolving trade regulations, labour shortages, and rising operational costs are pushing manufacturers toward more efficient and resource-saving solutions.

She noted that ACG Kinna’s expansion reflects a broader trend among TMAS members, who are investing in advanced technologies to support highly efficient and future-ready production systems.
