UNIFI® Celebrates Circular Innovation at 9th REPREVE® Sustainability Awards

Unifi, Inc. (NYSE: UFI), makers of REPREVE®, has announced the winners of its ninth annual REPREVE Champions of Sustainability Awards. The program recognises brands and mills working on recycled materials and circular manufacturing practices. This year’s edition also introduced new award categories focused on textile waste utilisation.
Unifi, Inc. (NYSE: UFI), the makers of REPREVE® and a producer of recycled and synthetic yarns, has announced the winners of its ninth annual REPREVE Champions of Sustainability Awards. The awards recognise brands and mills engaged in circularity, recycled material usage, and manufacturing practices across the global textile sector.

According to the company, in collaboration with its brand partners, UNIFI® has contributed to recycling more than 46 billion plastic bottles and converting the equivalent of one billion T-shirts’ worth of textile and yarn waste into recycled fibers.

The 2026 awards program introduced new Textile Waste Awards categories, aimed at recognising companies incorporating textile waste into product development.

In the Game Changer Award category for high-volume textile waste utilisation, the award was presented to Texollini – Swim USA® (Vitamin A) – REPREVE Nylon.

The Trailblazer Award, recognising first-to-market applications within a category, was awarded to Walmart® for Joyspun® socks featuring REPREVE Takeback™.

The Accelerator Award, for adoption across multiple products, was presented to Marmot® for ThermaLoop™ Insulation and REPREVE.

In the Change Maker Award category, recognising conversion from recycled polyester to textile waste inputs, awards were given to Save the Duck® for ThermaLoop and Lafuma® for ThermaLoop.

Additional awards were also presented across sustainability-focused categories. Swisstex received recognition for Sustainable Fabric Innovation for REPREVE ReCirculate™. Dagne Dover® was recognised in the Commitment to Circularity category for REPREVE. The Newcomer Award was presented to Me by Jennie Garth™, QVC® for REPREVE Our Ocean®. The Made in USA Award was awarded to Walmart Valley Forge Flags, produced with REPREVE by Cotswold Industries.

The REPREVE Champions of Sustainability Awards highlight UNIFI’s ongoing work in recycled material development, with a focus on traceability and performance across applications in the textile supply chain.
