LifeLabs®, a materials science company focused on temperature-regulating textile technologies, announced on April 7, 2026, a new partnership with Shinhan, a woven fabric mill based in South Korea. Shinhan specializes in technical textiles for outdoor and activewear applications and will act as a strategic production partner for LifeLabs’ WarmLife® performance fabric.
Under the agreement, Shinhan will support the manufacturing and scaling of WarmLife® fabrics, contributing to LifeLabs’ B2B platform and enabling supply to global apparel brands. The collaboration is intended to strengthen production capacity and support wider commercialization of thermoregulating textiles. LifeLabs will present WarmLife® and its proprietary technologies at the Functional Fabric Fair in Portland, Ore., from April 7–9 at booth #545.
WarmLife® performance fabric technology incorporates a metallic nano-layer designed to reflect radiant body heat back to the skin, enabling thermal performance with reduced weight and bulk. Through this partnership, LifeLabs will work with Shinhan to extend its supply chain capabilities, particularly in the outdoor and activewear segments.
Sophia Ou, CEO and co-founder of LifeLabs, said: “Shinhan brings deep expertise in technical woven fabric development and a strong reputation for quality, making them an ideal partner to help us deliver lighter, more packable thermal performance to a broader set of world-class brand customers. Partnering with Shinhan helps us scale WarmLife and bring advanced thermoregulating fabrics to apparel brands worldwide.”
The partnership is focused on supporting global production and market adoption of WarmLife® fabrics, particularly within premium and high-end apparel segments.
JH Lee, CEO of Shinhan, said: “We are always looking ahead to where performance textiles are going next; this partnership with LifeLabs is an important step in that direction. WarmLife brings a differentiated approach to thermal comfort and we are proud to pair that innovation with our technical fabric capabilities helping to bring high-quality, high-performance solutions to leading brands around the world.”
LifeLabs and Shinhan marked the agreement with a signing ceremony held at Stanford University on April 6. The event brought together senior executives and leadership representatives from both organizations.
