Heimtextil 2027 Expands Carpets & Rugs with New Structure and Premium Excellence Segment

Heimtextil is set to strengthen its position as the leading global business platform for the carpet industry with a redesigned Carpets & Rugs segment at Heimtextil 2027, introducing a new exhibition structure and launching the Carpets & Rugs Excellence premium segment for selected international manufacturers.

Scheduled to take place from 12–15 January 2027 in Frankfurt, the exhibition will offer enhanced networking opportunities, targeted sourcing, and expanded business prospects for carpet manufacturers, retailers, buyers, hospitality professionals, and the contract furnishing sector.

New Structure Aligns Carpets & Rugs with Market Needs

Heimtextil 2027 has restructured its Carpets & Rugs segment to better reflect evolving distribution channels and purchasing trends within the global carpet market.

The updated format integrates carpet suppliers across Heimtextil’s broader product worlds, allowing buyers to source complete interior solutions while creating additional business opportunities for exhibitors. The approach is designed to strengthen connections between manufacturers, brands, retailers, architects, interior designers, and contract buyers.

According to Bettina Bär, Director of Heimtextil, the exhibition continues to evolve in close collaboration with the industry to meet changing market requirements and provide a more targeted international business platform.

Dedicated Exhibition Halls for Different Market Segments

The new exhibition layout has been organised according to product categories and business focus areas.

  • Hall 3.1 will showcase machine-made carpets, fibres, yarns and textile technologies alongside Decorative & Furniture Fabrics, providing direct access to specialist retailers and contract buyers.
  • Hall 3.0 will feature hand-knotted carpets, premium doormats and flooring solutions within the Interior Design Concepts: Windows, Wall & Floor section, supporting holistic interior design sourcing.
  • Halls 11.0, 12.0 and 12.1 will serve as the main destination for volume manufacturers, international buyers and suppliers of handwoven and machine-made carpets.

The expanded layout is intended to improve navigation, simplify sourcing and strengthen commercial engagement across multiple distribution channels.

Premium Carpets & Rugs Excellence Debuts

One of the major additions to Heimtextil 2027 is the launch of Carpets & Rugs Excellence, a new premium exhibition area located in Hall 11.0.

The curated section will feature selected international volume manufacturers chosen by an independent jury based on product quality, manufacturing expertise and craftsmanship.

The initiative aims to create a dedicated sourcing destination for retailers, hospitality buyers and contract furnishing professionals seeking reliable suppliers capable of fulfilling orders across different production volumes while maintaining high quality standards.
