Bhilwara emerging as a Prime Textiles hub of India: Giriraj Singh

Union Minister for Textiles, Giriraj Singh, expressed optimism about Bhilwara’s transformation into a major textile and garment manufacturing hub in India. Speaking to the media during a city event, he emphasized Bhilwara’s strong potential to generate large-scale employment for youth.

“For Bhilwara to reach its full potential, significant investment—estimated between ₹30,000 to ₹60,000 crore—is essential,” said Singh. He highlighted the importance of strong collaboration between the central and Rajasthan state governments to secure and channel these funds effectively.

He noted that such coordination was lacking under the previous Congress-led state government, which delayed Bhilwara’s progress. However, Singh affirmed that there is now effective cooperation among local representatives, the state, and the Centre, paving the way for development.

In addition to his remarks on Bhilwara’s textile future, Singh briefly commented on Bihar politics, expressing confidence that the NDA/BJP would return to power in the upcoming state elections.

During his visit, the minister also attended multiple public events across the city.
