K&R Introduces Sustainable Signage with CiCLO Technology
K&R Solutions Group, a leader in large-format signage, has expanded the use of its U.S.-made Bio Knit SEG fabric, powered by CiCLO® technology. Developed by Intrinsic Advanced Materials, this innovation offers vibrant, high-performance signage while reducing long-term microplastic pollution.
Used in partnership with Departure Media Airport Advertising, Bio Knit with CiCLO is now featured in over 30 U.S. airports and corporate spaces, including installations at Estée Lauder Companies’ New York headquarters. Brands like MAC and La Mer are also adopting the material, and a backlit version is currently in development.
Bio Knit incorporates CiCLO directly into the fiber, enabling natural biodegradation in soil or seawater. It is printed with OEKO-TEX® certified inks, meeting global safety and environmental standards.
“This marks a major step toward integrating real sustainability into signage without compromising quality or visual impact,” said K&R Managing Partner Karen Fiorentino.
CiCLO technology, originally developed for apparel and home textiles, is now helping reshape public and commercial spaces into more eco-conscious environments.
