Bombay Dyeing Issues Alert on Counterfeit “Coral Vine Plus” Bedsheet Sets in Kerala

Bombay Dyeing has issued a public advisory after counterfeit bedsheet sets bearing the name “Coral Vine Plus” were found circulating in Kerala. The company confirmed that it does not manufacture or sell any product under this name.

The issue surfaced when buyers visited two authorised Bombay Dyeing showrooms in Calicut to verify pricing. Store staff identified several red flags, including unauthorised use of the brand’s name and logo, lack of the official hologram, inferior fabric quality, and absence of the product in the company’s catalogue. The counterfeit sets were also packaged to mimic the brand’s genuine products.

Showroom personnel guided customers on using Bombay Dyeing’s QR-coded hologram, which allows them to verify the authenticity of original items. The company has begun tracing the source of the counterfeit distribution and those involved in circulating the products.

Bombay Dyeing CFO Khiroda Jena stated that counterfeit products continue to mislead consumers and damage trust. He urged customers to rely on authorised sellers and always check the hologram and QR code before purchasing.

Consumer Advisory:

  • Buy only from authorised retailers and dealers
  • Look for the official hologram and QR code on all items
  • Report suspicious products to Bombay Dyeing’s customer support
  • Follow the company’s official channels for updates and alerts
