Circulose and Mango Partner to Scale Circular Fashion

Circulose has entered a landmark partnership with Mango, marking the fashion retailer as the first Scaling Partner since Circulose’s restart. Announced in Stockholm on June 19, 2025, this collaboration signals a significant push toward mainstreaming circular materials in the global fashion supply chain.

Mango’s alliance with Circulose reflects a strategic shift in its sustainability roadmap, aiming to transition to a circular business model by increasing the use of low-impact materials. A key focus is on replacing virgin man-made cellulosic fibers (MMCFs) with fibers made from CIRCULOSE®, a next-gen regenerated material derived entirely from discarded textiles.

CIRCULOSE® enables brands to reduce environmental impact without compromising on quality or design. As part of its new commercial strategy, Circulose is introducing:

  • A licensing model developed with Fashion for Good and Canopy to reduce pricing barriers.
  • Implementation support like supply chain coordination, traceability, and transition planning.

The goal: move beyond capsule collections and scale next-gen materials industry-wide.

Jonatan Janmark, CEO of Circulose, commended Mango’s leadership:

“Mango’s commitment sets a powerful example and brings us closer to restarting the factory and achieving circularity at scale.”

Andrés Fernández, Sustainability and Sourcing Director at Mango, added:

“This collaboration reinforces our pledge to use only low-impact fibers by 2030 and to foster a responsible fashion future where innovation meets sustainability.”

This partnership reflects the broader industry momentum toward closing the loop in fashion, with Circulose offering scalable solutions to support large brands in their transition to circularity.
