Comfit Golden Leaf Earns LEED Platinum for Sustainability

Comfit Golden Leaf, a prominent garment manufacturer based in Dhaka, has been awarded the prestigious LEED Platinum certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. Scoring 82 points under the LEED O+M: Existing Buildings v4.1 category, the factory demonstrates excellence in energy efficiency, water conservation, and sustainable operations.

This recognition underscores Bangladesh’s continued leadership in green manufacturing, with 243 LEED-certified factories across the country—101 achieving Platinum and 128 earning Gold ratings. The growing number of certified facilities reflects the industry’s shift toward environmentally responsible practices.
