Partnership strengthens Crystal Sustainability Vision 2030 through circularity and climate action
Crystal International Group Limited (“Crystal International” or “the Group”) has joined Textile Exchange as a Partner Member, marking a major step toward advancing sustainability in the textile and apparel industry.
Textile Exchange is a global non-profit organization dedicated to promoting responsible fibre and material use. Its mission aligns perfectly with Crystal International’s Sustainability Vision 2030, which focuses on climate action and circularity. Through this membership, the Group aims to accelerate sustainable material adoption and deepen collaboration across the industry.
Commitment to Certified Sustainable Materials
Crystal International continues to strengthen its responsible sourcing practices. Today, over 90% of its factories hold certifications such as the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and Organic Content Standard (OCS). These certifications enable the Group to offer verified sustainable materials that meet diverse customer needs.
At its fabric mill in Vietnam, around 55% of the raw materials are certified under GRS or the Recycled Claim Standard (RCS). By joining Textile Exchange, the Group plans to increase this percentage and further reduce its environmental footprint.
Innovating for Circularity and Reduced Waste
Recently, Crystal International launched the CirClimate collection, featuring biodegradable and climate-adaptive fabrics made from sustainable wood pulp and recycled waste. This initiative demonstrates how innovation can merge with circular design.
To support its circularity vision, the Group also introduced a Corporate Waste Management System Framework. This framework standardizes waste management across factories, enhances recycling, and converts waste into value. Moreover, five factories have begun sharing textile waste data on the Reverse Resources platform, improving traceability and promoting textile-to-textile recycling.
Collaborating for Industry-Wide Impact
“By combining Textile Exchange’s tools with our in-house expertise, we can co-develop more sustainable and nature-friendly fashion products,” said Catherine Chiu, Vice President – Corporate Quality & Sustainability at Crystal International.
Moving forward, the Group will continue to partner with like-minded organizations to promote responsible materials, circular solutions, and transparency throughout the textile value chain.
