Zurich, May 12, 2025 – The Swiss Textile Machinery Association has appointed Davide Maccabruni, CEO of Uster Technologies AG, as its new president. The announcement was made following the association’s general assembly on May 8.
Maccabruni succeeds Ernesto Maurer, who led the association for a decade and significantly strengthened its global presence and innovation efforts. In his new role, Maccabruni will steer strategic direction and foster cooperation within the Swiss textile machinery industry.
He emphasized the need for unity and adaptability: “The Swiss textile machinery industry still holds unique strengths that can secure its success well into the future. To achieve this, however, we must focus on aligning our capabilities, working together, and supporting one another.”
The general assembly also welcomed Martin Zürcher of Heberlein Technology AG to the board, joining other notable members: Beat Meienberger (Benninger AG), André Imhof (Autefa Solutions), Andreas Conzelmann (Jakob Müller AG), and Ralph von Arx (Retech AG), who now serves as vice-president.
Founded in 1940, the Swiss Textile Machinery Association is the oldest division within Swissmem, representing 42 member companies committed to innovation, education, and international market access.
