EDANA & INDA Call for Fair Trade in Nonwovens Industry

EDANA and INDA, the leading associations for the nonwovens industry in Europe and the U.S., have voiced serious concerns over the growing trade tensions that risk harming global supply chains. With many companies operating across borders, the associations stress that retaliatory tariffs could damage economies and disrupt the essential industries supported by nonwovens, such as hygiene, healthcare, and manufacturing.

Both organizations call on policymakers to prioritize dialogue and cooperative trade policies. EDANA’s General Manager, Murat Dogru, highlighted the risks of uncertainty and disruption, while INDA’s President, Tony Fragnito, emphasized the industry’s commitment to fair and free trade.

As global manufacturers face mounting cost pressures, EDANA and INDA advocate for open markets and collaborative trade measures to ensure competitiveness and long-term economic stability.
