Epson India has unveiled its first Digital Label Press Solution Centre in Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi, reinforcing its commitment to next-gen label printing in India. This modern facility will serve as a live demonstration hub for Epson’s flagship SurePress L-6534VW – a high-speed UV inkjet digital label press designed for short to mid-volume production of up to 1 million linear metres per month.
The centre is tailored for label printers, converters, and manufacturers, providing real-time access to Epson’s cutting-edge digital label printing technology. Visitors can explore live demos, substrate testing, and technical consultations, enabling hands-on decision-making in real-world conditions.
The SurePress L-6534VW offers precision printing with Epson’s PrecisionCore® printheads, Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT), and resolution up to 600×1200 dpi. Key features include digital varnish capability, allowing selective matte or gloss finishes, high-opacity white ink, UV pinning, and a drum platen system, ideal for producing vibrant and durable labels for FMCG, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and industrial applications.
Epson’s initiative comes amid a booming Indian packaging and labelling market, meeting the increasing need for on-demand, short-run, and fast-turnaround solutions. This facility not only enhances Epson’s customer engagement in India but also aligns with its mission to deliver efficient, sustainable print solutions with reduced waste and minimal operator input.
Epson leaders, including Okuzono Kazuomi and Prabagaran S, highlighted the centre’s strategic importance in revolutionizing label printing operations across India.
