New Delhi: The government said on Monday that exports from domestic tariff area (DTA) units will continue to get advantages under the RoDTEP program for a year, till September 30, 2025. Refunds of taxes, duties, and levies that exporters incur during the production and distribution of goods and are not receiving reimbursement under any other mechanism at the federal, state, or local levels are made possible by the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme. In a statement, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) stated that the program is extended through December 31 of this year for holders of Advance Authorizations (AAs), Export Oriented Units (EOUs), and Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
“The RoDTEP scheme is being extended for exports made from DTA units till September 30, 2025, and AA/EOU/SEZ units till December 31, 2024,” it said.
It further stated that the amended tariffs under the plan were also announced for implementation, starting on October 10 of this year, when the ICEGATE site was updated.
In order to keep the outgo within the budgetary allotment, the rates are adjusted downward. The new tax refund rates are between 0.3% to 3.9%, which is less than the 0.5% to 4.3% that were in place before to the most recent extension.
