Getek Launches ACU Portable Air Clean Unit

GE Technology Inc. (Getek) has launched the ACU portable air clean unit, designed for industrial, commercial, and cleanroom applications. The unit integrates high-efficiency particulate filtration with customizable molecular media to control indoor air quality and contamination in controlled environments. Unlike standard HEPA-based units, ACU offers ULPA-class particulate filtration and refillable CHEMSORB™ chemisorptive media for targeted removal of airborne molecular contaminants (AMCs) and VOCs, reducing waste while supporting ESG objectives.

The ACU is highly portable, equipped with four locking casters for rapid deployment across multiple environments. Airflow moves vertically from intake to outlet, allowing efficient distribution. Configurations range from general ambient air cleaning to ultra-high filtration for cleanrooms. HEPA H13 and optional ULPA stages remove up to 99.999% of particles at MPPS, protecting health and ensuring process-critical cleanliness.

CHEMSORB™ molecular media, available in refillable trays (CHEMSORB-R), pleated (CHEMSORB-P), or sponge (CHEMSORB-S), targets acids, bases, VOCs, ozone, and reactive compounds. Applications span commercial spaces, industrial sites, and cleanroom environments, including odor and VOC control in offices, fume abatement in manufacturing, and formaldehyde or sterilization vapor removal in labs.

ACU is not a medical device; its focus is IAQ supplementation. The TAFS Engineered Approach ensures optimized performance via facility-specific diagnostics and custom media. Designed with sustainability in mind, ACU reduces consumable waste, maintains airflow efficiency, and extends service life with corrosion-resistant construction. The unit complies with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, with RoHS/REACH-compliant materials and ANSI/ASHRAE-tested media performance.
