The region’s leading textile machinery exhibition, ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025, officially opened today at the Singapore Expo. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Mr. Alvin Tan, Minister of State for the Ministry of Trade & Industry and Ministry of National Development, Republic of Singapore.
The four-day event has drawn participation from major textile machinery manufacturers across the globe. Over 840 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions are presenting their most advanced technologies and solutions to trade professionals representing Asia’s foremost textile and garment manufacturing hubs.
Spanning more than 70,000 square metres of exhibition space, the event features 19 product sectors, encompassing the entire textile and garment value chain. The showcase emphasizes sustainability, digitalisation, and productivity, featuring innovations in spinning, weaving, knitting, garment making, textile processing, automation, and recycling.
The exhibition is owned by CEMATEX (European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers) and marks ITMA ASIA’s return to Singapore after two decades—previously held at the Singapore Expo in 2001 and 2005.
Since 2008, ITMA ASIA has been jointly staged with CITME, which is organized by the China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) and The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT TEX. The 2025 edition is the first time the joint exhibition is held outside China.
Mr. Alex Zucchi, President of CEMATEX, remarked,
“This Singapore edition marks a new milestone for ITMA ASIA + CITME. By bringing the latest machinery and digital solutions closer to growth markets across South and Southeast Asia and the Middle East, our aim is to offer a trusted platform for mill owners to source cutting-edge technologies that support operational modernisation and long-term competitiveness, particularly in advancing sustainability.”
Mr. Gu Ping, President of CTMA, added,
“Amid a new wave of digital revolution, the global textile and textile machinery sectors now stand at the forefront of strategic transformation. As a premier platform on textile machinery, the exhibition not only showcases end-to-end solutions but acts as a bridge for efficient business collaboration across the supply chain.”
For textile industry buyers, ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025 serves as a strategic sourcing platform for cost-effective, performance-driven, and sustainability-compliant technologies.
