The Government has decided to extend the application period for the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles due to a strong and enthusiastic response from industry stakeholders. Following the recent call for applications in August 2025, 22 new submissions were received from the MMF Apparel, MMF Fabrics, and Technical Textiles sectors.
This extension offers another opportunity for prospective investors to participate in the Scheme. The decision comes in response to growing industry interest, driven by the expanding market and confidence in manufacturing textile products in India under the PLI Scheme. The application process will continue under the same terms and conditions as outlined in the PLI Textiles Scheme notification of 24 September 2021 and the guidelines issued on 28 December 2021, with subsequent amendments.
The application window will remain open until 30th September 2025 via the online portal at https://pli.texmin.gov.in, and no submissions will be accepted after the deadline.
To date, 74 companies with a committed investment of ₹28,711 crore have been selected as beneficiaries of the PLI scheme, which will support manufacturing across the full MMF textile value chain.
