Official Travel Partner Appointed to Support Global Participants
10 April 2025 – Hanover, Germany – The city of Hanover is gearing up to welcome global participants for ITMA 2027, the world’s largest textile and garment technology exhibition, set to take place from 16 to 22 September 2027 at Messegelände Hannover. The exhibition is expected to cover 200,000 square metres across 13 halls.
Last hosted in Hanover in 1991, ITMA returns to the city after more than three decades. The successful bid for ITMA 2027 was submitted by Deutsche Messe, the venue owner, with the full support of the City of Hanover and its mayor’s office.
Belit Onay, Mayor and CEO of the City of Hanover, remarked: “We are thrilled to welcome ITMA back to Hanover. As a major international trade fair city, we are fully committed to delivering an outstanding experience for all participants. With its efficient transport, vibrant culture, and green urban charm, Hanover is a stress-free and inspiring destination.”
Accommodation for All Budgets
Hanover is well-prepared to host large-scale trade events and offers a wide range of accommodation options, from budget to premium hotels, guesthouses, private apartments, and inns. Currently, the city offers over 18,000 hotel beds, with an additional 54,000 beds available in the surrounding metropolitan region. Furthermore, approximately 4,000 private accommodations will be accessible across the area.
A new addition of 700 more rooms in the city centre is expected to be available by 2026, enhancing options for ITMA participants. For those seeking alternative options, a campground located opposite the exhibition venue is available for caravans and motorhomes.
Dr Jochen Koeckler, Chairman of Deutsche Messe’s Board, shared: “The majority of accommodations are within 30 to 90 minutes of the fairground, making travel to the venue convenient and efficient.”
