The International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) is hiring a full-time Remote Data Intern to support global cotton market analysis. This paid internship ($800/month) offers a great opportunity for individuals interested in agricultural economics, data research, and international trade.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor global news and reports to identify trends in cotton and related markets
- Contribute to ICAC publications like Cotton This Month and Trade Report
- Build data visuals, charts, and presentations for internal and external use
- Analyze how global events affect cotton supply, demand, and pricing
- Maintain cotton market databases and gather data from global sources
- Research trends in substitute fibers like polyester, hemp, and wool
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong data analysis and research skills
- Familiarity with global trade/agricultural databases (e.g. USDA, UN, FAO)
- Skilled in Excel, SQL, or visualization tools
- Excellent written communication
- Background in Agricultural Economics, Economics, or related field
- Bonus: Experience with R software or data portals
