INDA Opens Executive Director Recruitment

INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, and the Global Nonwovens Alliance (GNA) have begun recruiting a new Executive Director. The position, based at INDA’s headquarters in Cary, North Carolina, will strengthen leadership and coordination across the Americas.

This development follows the founding of GNA by INDA and EDANA, marking a major step in global cooperation. It also reflects INDA’s commitment to align its regional strategies with global priorities in the nonwovens industry.

To ensure a smooth leadership transition, Tony Fragnito, INDA’s current President and CEO, will serve as an Executive Consultant. In this role, he will oversee staff leadership, operational integration, and GNA outreach initiatives until his planned retirement.

A Key Role for Regional Growth

The new Executive Director will act as INDA’s chief staff executive, reporting directly to the GNA CEO. This leader will guide regional initiatives, manage operations, and represent INDA’s interests throughout the Americas.

Working closely with the GNA’s global leadership, the Executive Director will help align INDA’s goals with the alliance’s mission. Together, they aim to expand industry participation, foster innovation, and promote international collaboration.

Leaders on the Transition

“This new role will unlock the full potential of both INDA and GNA. Although INDA remains an independent organization, our members and staff will benefit from greater collaboration and broader global opportunities,” said Tony Fragnito, INDA President and CEO.

“Creating this position is a major milestone for the Global Nonwovens Alliance. It will strengthen INDA’s regional focus while maintaining full alignment with GNA’s global vision,” added Murat Dogru, General Manager of EDANA and incoming GNA CEO.

Dogru also thanked Fragnito for his leadership and support, emphasizing that this transition will combine global vision with regional strength to better serve the industry.
