Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Opens: 3,700+ Exhibitors Showcase Innovations

Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition opens from 2 to 4 September at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, Shanghai. The fair will feature over 3,700 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions, connecting international and domestic buyers and fostering global collaboration. Nine country and region pavilions, eight group pavilions, and eight overseas buyer delegations will showcase top textile innovations and designs.

“Intertextile Apparel is more than a trade fair; it is a dynamic platform addressing the evolving needs of the global apparel industry,” said Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. The fair emphasizes emerging trends and sourcing opportunities through enhanced zones like the Innovation and Digital Solutions Zone, Bespoke Performance, and the launch of Essential Suits & Shirts for everyday fashion.

The four focus themes—fashion fabrics & accessories, functional fashion, sustainability, and innovation & digital transformation—are highlighted across nine halls covering casualwear, children & infants wear, denim, functional & sportswear, ladieswear, lingerie, and suiting & shirting. Bespoke Performance in the Premium Wool Zone showcases style, practicality, and luxury, while the Essential Suits & Shirts zone focuses on versatile ready-to-wear fabrics from suppliers like Mahmood Textile Mills and Kohinoor Mills.

Other featured zones include Econogy Hub, Functional Lab, Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone, SalonEurope, and Verve for Design, while Accessories Vision and Beyond Denim host overseas exhibitors. Country and region pavilions represent France, Hong Kong, India, Italy (Milano Unica), Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Taiwan, and Türkiye.

New exhibitors include Itochu Corporation (Japan), Fibrant (Netherlands), and Wendler Einlagen (Germany), emphasizing sustainability, innovative materials, and compliance with OEKO-TEX® standards. Group pavilions from Hyosung, Lenzing, LYCRA, PRUTEX, and Sorona highlight innovations like ultra-fine denier fibres, knitted sports fabrics, and advanced technical fabrics.

The fair also offers a fringe programme with 37 seminars covering Design & Trends, Market Information & Business Strategies, Technology & Solutions, and Texpertise Econogy. International buyers include delegations from Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and first-time delegations from Brazil and Türkiye.

Visitors can also attend Cinte Techtextil China (3–5 September 2025) with complimentary access, enabling exploration of apparel and technical textiles in one trip. Intertextile Apparel is co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry CCPIT, and the China Textile Information Centre, alongside Yarn Expo Autumn, CHIC, and PH Value, showcasing the entire apparel textile value chain.
