Inteva Products Pune Manufacturing Plant

India’s Pune, Maharashtra
To address the growing demand in the domestic automotive sector, US-based Inteva Products LLC, a worldwide leader in automotive systems and components, announced plans on Friday to increase capacity at its Chakan factory in Pune. According to Inteva Products, this expansion would generate 100 new employment and is anticipated to need an expenditure of USD 3.3 million.

The plant’s manufacturing space will rise by 70% as a consequence of the extension, reaching 85,000 square feet (sq-ft). A further 26,000 square feet of office space will be built at the plant in addition to the increased manufacturing area. By installing new manufacturing lines for window regulators, latches, and window regulator motor assemblies, Inteva will be able to improve supply chain capabilities in India and better service its current clientele.

At the press conference announcing the development of Inteva Products’ production centre, Mr. Marco von Wege, VP & Chief Commercial Officer; Mr. Gerard Roose, CEO & President; and Mr. Sanjay Kataria, VP & Managing Director

It is anticipated that the development would directly help the local workforce and boost Maharashtra’s economy by adding 100 new jobs to Pune. Inteva’s dedication to job creation, which emphasises indigenous talent, is in line with India’s drive for independence in the car manufacturing industry. This action also demonstrates Inteva’s sustained investment in the area and reflects the company’s plan to assist India’s development as a major global centre for automobile production.

Gerard Roose, President and CEO of Inteva Products, stated, “This expansion reflects Inteva’s ongoing commitment to the Indian market, which is critical to our global growth strategy.” “We are pleased to expand our ability to better serve our customers while generating worthwhile local employment opportunities, as the demand for premium automotive components keeps growing.”

Boosting the Supply Chain for Important Indian and International Automobile Companies

Leading Indian automakers use the company’s lone factory to produce window regulators, side door locks, liftgate latches, and window regulator motors. Additionally, the company exports window regulator motors to markets in North America and South Africa, making it a vital component of the worldwide automotive supply chain.

“We are adding five new assembly lines at the Chakan plant as part of this expansion, bringing the total number of assembly lines to 17.” stated Sanjay Kataria, Vice President and Managing Director of Inteva India. By the end of the next year, this will enable us to expand our window regulator capacity to 6.3 million units.

Inteva Products moved to its greenfield factory in Chakan in 2012 after starting operations in Pune in 2008. Since then, the business has established a solid reputation for providing cutting-edge automotive solutions that prioritise sustainability, efficiency, and quality. With over 317 employees, including 200 engineers, Inteva also has a technical centre in Bengaluru that provides cutting-edge product development and engineering know-how to support operations in India and throughout the world.

Inteva is well situated to satisfy the need for cutting-edge, premium components for both local and international clients as the Indian automobile market expands.
