Madhya Pradesh Receives Historic Approval for PM MITRA Park Project

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that Madhya Pradesh has secured official approval for the ₹2,100 crore PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park project, thanks to the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Sanctioned by the Union Ministry of Textiles, this initiative marks India’s first integrated textile park of its kind, and it will be developed within Madhya Pradesh.

Dr. Yadav highlighted that this state-of-the-art project will significantly transform Madhya Pradesh’s industrial profile and boost India’s textile industry on a global scale. Spanning across 2,100 acres, the PM MITRA Park is expected to become a major hub for both investment and employment opportunities in the state.

The park will include several modern facilities, such as a 20 MLD Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) plant for sustainable wastewater treatment, a solar power station for green energy production, built-to-suit (BTS) industrial units ready for immediate use, and residential accommodations for workers. Construction is scheduled to be completed within 14 months.

Dr. Yadav also mentioned that land allocation for industries within the park will be opened soon. The project has already attracted proposed investments totaling ₹10,000 crore, indicating strong interest from industrial stakeholders.

He underscored that the PM MITRA Park will serve as a catalyst for energizing India’s textile manufacturing from Madhya Pradesh, generating employment for hundreds of thousands and greatly contributing to the state’s economic development. Dr. Yadav extended sincere thanks to Prime Minister Modi, describing the project as a groundbreaking initiative aligned with the vision of an “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (self-reliant India).

The park will be located in Bhainsola village, within the Badnawar tehsil of Dhar district. Its location is logistically strategic—110 km from Indore, 85 km from the Pithampur industrial hub, and 50 km from the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway via Ratlam. The closest seaport, Hazira, lies 452 km away.
