Monforts Leads Eco Denim Innovation at Kingpins Show

At the recent Kingpins Amsterdam event, held at the Sugar Factory from April 16–17, Monforts showcased its latest advancements in sustainable denim technology, earning prominent placement in the Most Sustainable Product (MSP) section.

For four consecutive years, denims produced using Monforts’ resource-efficient systems have dominated the MSP displays. Key technologies such as the Montex stenter, Monfortex shrinking range, Eco Line denim finishing system, and Thermex dyeing unit have set the benchmark for performance and sustainability.

According to Hans Wroblowski, Head of Denim at Monforts, innovations like multifunctional spray coating, thermo-stretch, and skew technologies are helping manufacturers achieve superior denim quality while significantly reducing energy consumption.

“These innovations help deliver lifestyle and performance denims that save energy and support eco-conscious production,” Wroblowski stated.

With over 900 Thermex dyeing systems installed globally, Monforts equipment continues to lead in eco-friendly denim processing. Montex stenters, in particular, have become the gold standard for denim finishing, delivering both operational efficiency and environmental benefits.

Although the MSP section is not a formal competition, several fabrics featured this year were highlighted for their sustainability, innovation, and readiness for apparel production — with Monforts-powered fabrics once again standing out.
