Mumbai, 16 April 2025 – The “Naturally Inspiring Seminar” held at the Hall of Harmony, Nehru Centre, brought together textile industry leaders and aspiring designers to explore the diverse applications and sustainability of Merino wool. The event aimed to educate and inspire over 150 students and faculty from top design and textile institutes in Mumbai.
Organized by The Woolmark Company (TWC), the seminar showcased digital learning platforms like Woolmark Learning Center and Wool Lab. The highlight was engaging talks by Mr. Vikram Mahaldar, CBO of Raymond Lifestyle Ltd., and Mr. Pravin Dhake, founder of Athlos.
Mr. Mahaldar presented Raymond’s 100-year wool legacy, emphasizing innovations, AI-driven retail practices, and internship opportunities for students. Mr. Dhake shared Athlos’ sustainable journey using Merino wool blends in activewear, including gear for cycling and hiking.
Students witnessed contrasting yet complementary uses of wool—from Raymond’s suiting to Athlos’ performance wear—highlighting its versatility and future potential.
