Nature Coatings and Coolcore® have collaborated to introduce a new collection of environmentally friendly cooling textiles. These fabrics offer natural temperature regulation without the use of harmful chemicals, relying instead on smart fiber design. At the heart of the innovation is ‘BioBlack TX’—a sustainable black pigment derived from wood waste—which replaces conventional petroleum-based pigments and contributes to reduced carbon emissions.
Complementing this is Coolcore®’s ‘Biomimetic Fiber Geometry,’ an engineered fiber structure that enhances moisture movement and cooling through natural evaporation, eliminating the need for chemical treatments. This approach promotes cooling functionality while minimizing environmental harm.
The resulting textiles are durable, breathable, and suited for a variety of applications, including activewear, outdoor clothing, sustainable fashion, and workwear in hot conditions. The fabrics also reduce microplastic shedding and water pollution during laundering, positioning them as a responsible alternative in the performance textile market.
Together, Nature Coatings and Coolcore® are showcasing how advanced materials can deliver both comfort and eco-consciousness, marking a positive step toward cleaner high-performance apparel.
