He invited both domestic and global investors to consider Odisha as a preferred destination for investment and business.
Mr. Deo emphasized the state government’s commitment to balanced economic growth and environmental sustainability. Odisha, he noted, aims to be a model of sustainable development and a leading hub for trade and investment. He further highlighted the state’s supportive ecosystem for MSMEs, startups, and women entrepreneurs, describing Odisha as a conducive environment for business.
During his visit, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo met with Dr. Vijay Kalantri, Chairman of WTC Mumbai, and Ms. Priya Pansare, Director of Trade and Investment Promotions, WTC Mumbai, to explore trade and investment opportunities.
“Today, every Indian takes pride in declaring India as a land of business opportunities,” remarked Dr. Vijay Kalantri, Chairman of WTC Mumbai. “Indian ambassadors and industrialists not only promote their businesses but also enhance India’s global reputation. We are proud to be establishing a World Trade Center in Bhubaneswar, which will join a network of over 330 centers across 90 countries, fostering growth and business opportunities.”
Ms. Priya Pansare highlighted the promotion of artisans and agricultural exports, underscoring how WTC facilitates connections, provides resources, and supports local industries. She emphasized that these initiatives empower artisans and agricultural businesses to reach global markets and thrive.
The meeting also highlighted WTC Bhubaneswar’s role as a catalyst for promoting Odisha’s agro-products and helping local businesses connect with international trade networks. This collaboration reflects Odisha’s growing significance in sustainable economic development and India’s expanding role as a global economic leader.
