The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), supported by the Ministry of Textiles under the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM), will organize a one-day Conference on Technical Textiles on 25th July 2025 at the CICU Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana.
Designed to strengthen Ludhiana’s position as a key hub for technical textiles, the conference will unite stakeholders from across the value chain—including policymakers, industry leaders, manufacturers, and innovators—to discuss growth opportunities, policy support, and sectoral development.
The event will open with an Inaugural Session titled “Market Growth, Challenges, Opportunities & Way Forward”, and will be followed by three key technical sessions:
- Innovations, Possibilities & Application Avenues in Technical Textiles
- Sustainability & Compliance in Technical Textiles
- Skilling, Compliance Training & Workforce Development
The sessions aim to explore new possibilities, sustainability goals, and the importance of a trained workforce for a resilient technical textile sector. Prominent speakers from NTTM, Ministry of Textiles, MSME, SIDBI, NITRA, BIS, and Oerlikon Textile will be part of the discussions. Mr. Sanjeev Arora, Hon’ble Minister of Industry, Commerce, Investment Promotion and NRI Affairs, Government of Punjab, will grace the conference as Chief Guest.
This initiative is aligned with the Government of India’s vision to promote innovation, sustainability, standardization, and skill enhancement to make India globally competitive in technical textiles. By encouraging collaboration and policy alignment, the conference is expected to accelerate Ludhiana’s emergence as a Centre of Excellence in technical textiles.
