Rieter Showcases Smart Spinning Innovations at ITM 2026

At ITM 2026 in Istanbul, Rieter is set to present a comprehensive range of innovations focused on automation, digitalisation, and intelligent spinning technologies. Designed to enhance operational efficiency, flexibility, and long-term performance, these solutions support the company’s Vision 2027 of achieving fully automated spinning mills.

In a significant development, Rieter and Barmag will exhibit together for the first time, combining decades of expertise in spinning and man-made fiber technologies. This collaboration enables customers to access integrated solutions covering both natural and synthetic fiber processing.

Barmag will showcase its latest advancements across the entire man-made fiber value chain, including filament yarn, staple fiber, and nonwoven production systems. Among the highlights is the WINGS POY 2.0 winding machine, featuring an automatic string-up function, along with the energy-efficient eFK EvoSmart texturing machine. Innovations in Neumag’s EVOSteam process will also be presented.

Rieter’s exhibit will focus on step-by-step automation of spinning mills, covering areas such as bale transport, automated material handling, and fully integrated packaging systems. Digital solutions under the ESSENTIAL platform will provide real-time insights, enabling better decision-making for production optimisation.

Key product innovations include the COMPACT4 compacting system, which delivers high-quality compact yarns with reduced energy consumption and minimal maintenance. The OMEGAlap E 40 combing preparation machine offers significantly higher production capacity while lowering energy and air consumption, improving overall efficiency.

The rotor spinning machine R 70 enhances productivity by up to 15% while maintaining consistent yarn quality, even when processing recycled or blended materials. It also reduces energy usage and simplifies maintenance through improved machine design.

In fiber preparation, the AI-enabled card C 81 introduces advanced features such as Carding Gap Control and Trash Level Monitoring, which improve fiber utilisation and yarn quality. These solutions are also available for retrofitting, allowing existing mills to upgrade their capabilities.

Rieter is also advancing technologies for processing recycled fibers, enabling higher efficiency and improved yarn quality from textile waste, thereby supporting circularity in the textile industry.

Together with its subsidiaries, Rieter will demonstrate how integrated technologies, automation, and digital tools can help spinning mills achieve greater productivity, sustainability, and competitiveness in the global market.
