RMC 2025 Reveals Agenda & Innovation Award Nominees

Renewable Materials Conference 2025 Unveils Final Programme and Innovation Award Finalists

The Renewable Materials Conference (RMC), hosted by nova-Institut, will return from 22–24 September 2025 in Siegburg/Cologne, Germany, as the global hub for fossil-free materials, chemicals, and sustainable plastics. This year, the conference highlights five key areas: defossilisation of the chemical industry, fine chemicals, fossil-free plastics, renewable carbon frameworks, and biodegradation.

With more than 500 participants expected from over 30 countries, RMC 2025 will feature 75 presentations, 20 panel discussions, and 12 workshops. The event continues to grow as a premier platform uniting scientists, business leaders, and policymakers in the renewable carbon economy.

A major highlight will be the selection of the “Renewable Material of the Year 2025.” Six cutting-edge innovations have been nominated, ranging from white lignin for cosmetics to scalable biosynthetic polyamides and CO₂-based syngas solutions. The winner will be chosen live by the audience during the event.
